Responsibilities
As manager of Developer Experience, you will own and build highly available OCI services, platform, and critical UI applications that are used by every OCI team for managing every OCI service in every regions
You have strong technical depth and architectural know-how, and can provide leadership, technical direction and strategy, and audit design decisions for a team of talent engineers
You can coach, mentor, and develop the best talent, and lead engineers at the different locations
You can engage in hands-on management, including addressing customer issues and managing escalations
You can develop a prioritized roadmap of products, features and engineering asks, and work closely with a variety of stakeholders including executive leaderships and architects for strategy priority and direction alignment
You are good at driving the delivery of roadmap commitments on time with high quality
Qualification
Required
A BS or MS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in people management, with a proven track record in managing large-scale critical service
Demonstrated expertise in distributed systems, UI development, service operations and automations
Proficient at programming in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
Demonstrated ability to identify and recruit very strong engineering talent
Demonstrated expertise in project management, dealing with competing priorities and able to manage multiple projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences including senior leadership
Results and driven; thrives in a development environment that is agile, collaborative, and in start-up mode, even when faced with ambiguity and competing priorities

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
