RedBalloon is seeking a Lead Broadcast Engineering Technician to join the Vector Broadcast engineering team. This role involves providing technical support to radio and television clients, focusing on the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of transmission facilities and studios.

Responsibilities

Respond to equipment alarms and client requests for technical help
Analyze problems to identify the specific source and take corrective action
Ensure compliance with federal and local regulations and help station personnel with FCC compliance
Maintain logs of equipment failures and corrections for each site and system
Read and interpret schematic drawings, block diagrams, and equipment manuals in order to identify and repair faulty equipment
Provide remote support of various computer systems as needed to keep clients' automation and production systems working efficiently
Maintain and update documentation for audio and video systems and network interconnections
Configure and maintain Network routers, broadcast remote control systems and interconnects to ensure remote access to equipment interfaces
Routine site visits - clean, maintain and inspect transmission chains; Log readings and discrepancies
Routinely check logging and monitoring systems to ensure legal and efficient operation of client transmission systems
Other duties necessary to meet the needs of the company
