As an Employment Specialist, you will empower individuals with mental illness to find and maintain meaningful employment while collaborating with a mental health team and building relationships with employers.

Responsibilities

Empower individuals to land competitive jobs that align with their dreams
Work closely with a mental health team to support each member’s journey
Build strong relationships with employers and advocate for each member
Celebrate wins—like someone’s first day on the job!
Meeting clients for coffee to prep for interviews
Chatting with employers to find the perfect fit
Helping clients navigate benefits like SSI or Medicaid
Being a key part of a compassionate, supportive team

Qualification

Mental health experienceVocational services experienceIPS model knowledgeHuman services degreeSpreadsheet proficiencyEmail writing skillsWord processing skillsPatiencePersistenceEmpathy

Required

Have a bachelor's in a human service or liberal arts field or at least 3 years of experience
Are at least 21 with a valid driver's license (yep, you'll need to be insurable)
Can work a spreadsheet, write a decent email, and use Word like a pro
Love people, are patient, persistent, and genuinely care about others

Preferred

Know the IPS model (Individual Placement & Support)
Have experience in mental health or vocational services
