Resident Architect, Google Public Sector

Responsibilities
Lead the strategic engagement, technical architecture, and program management of multi-functional Google Cloud Professional Services projects with strategic customers
Provide architectural excellence, embedded within a client's technical team to ensure project success from concept to completion
Engage Google Cloud engineering resources to manage risks, issues, and actions for customers, and track them regularly to meet the expected outcomes and timelines
Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution
Collaborate with key/executive stakeholders to design clear comprehensive product goals and strategic roadmaps
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen to meet customer and compliance requirements, including potential access to classified information
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience advising enterprise, or government customers in cloud solutions architecture, technical project management, stakeholder management, professional services, or technical consulting
3 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C++ or Python)
Ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
Preferred
5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Networking, and Kubernetes Engine
Experience supporting at-scale deployments, migrations, modernizations, or transformations to public Cloud providers
Experience designing and promoting cloud computing architectures to complex government organizations
Understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM)
Understanding of cloud computing concepts including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS) models, as well as familiarity with distributed systems and scalability
