Drainage Modeling Engineer (H&H Lead)
W3Global is seeking a highly experienced Drainage Modeling Engineer with a strong background in hydrology and hydraulics. The candidate will lead H&H projects, manage client communication, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring technical excellence.

Responsibilities
Lead hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) projects from planning through execution
Perform drainage modeling and stormwater analysis using XP-SWMM, HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), and HEC-HMS
Prepare and review flood studies, stormwater management plans, and technical reports
Oversee and mentor junior engineers, ensuring quality deliverables and compliance with standards
Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies for permitting and project approvals
Manage client communication, budgets, and schedules while ensuring technical excellence
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of experience in drainage modeling and stormwater engineering
Proficiency with XP-SWMM, HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), and HEC-HMS
Strong background in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies, and drainage design
Proven ability to lead H&H projects and manage project teams
Excellent communication and client management skills
Preferred
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience coordinating with municipalities, DOTs, FEMA, or similar agencies
Familiarity with GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) and advanced hydrology applications
Experience working with Houston-area clients preferred, but not required. Candidates with relevant experience outside Houston are also welcome
