This role involves collaboration with various teams to deliver high-quality financial statements and support for audits, while also monitoring regulatory changes and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review quarterly and annual statutory financial statements in accordance with NAIC guidelines and state regulatory requirements
Lead components of the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
Analyze financial results and provide clear, actionable insights to internal stakeholders
Collaborate with internal departments to gather data and ensure completeness and accuracy in reporting
Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and other compliance reviews by preparing schedules and documentation
Monitor and interpret changes in statutory accounting principles and regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance
Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial and operational analysis from management and regulators
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
3-5 years of accounting or audit experience, preferably within insurance or financial services
Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles; property and casualty insurance experience preferred
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong organizational and time management skills
Experience with NetSuite or similar general ledger systems is a plus
Preferred
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or AIAF (Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance) designation preferred
Candidates actively pursuing CPA or AIAF certification will also be considered
