Responsibilities

Create and refine OPLANs and CONPLANs in support of major war scenarios, limited contingency operations, humanitarian missions, and crisis response efforts

Draft supporting plans in alignment with primary operational concepts, incorporating priorities for logistics, intelligence, cyber operations, and communications

Systematically review and evaluate plans submitted by subordinate, adjacent, or supporting commands to ensure consistency, feasibility, and alignment with overarching strategic objectives

Manage, update, and validate TPFDDs to ensure effective sequencing and scheduling of force deployment in alignment with the operational timeline

Evaluate existing operational concepts, develop recommendations, and coordinate headquarters input to modify or update higher-level strategic documents such as the Guidance for Employment of the Force (GEF) and the Joint Strategic Capabilities Plan (JSCP)

Facilitate productive interaction and plan coordination with diverse teams, including military branches, interagency partners, and civilian advisory elements

Identify lessons learned and incorporate best practices from exercises, operations, and after-action reviews to enhance future planning efforts

Required

Bachelor's degree in National Security, Strategic Studies, Military Science, Public Administration, or a related discipline

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Active TS/SCI security clearance required

5 + years of experience in operations planning, joint planning groups, or strategic planning positions within a defense setting

3 + years of experience in developing OPLANs, CONPLANs, and managing TPFDDs

2 + years of experience utilizing the joint and coalition planning process

Ability to travel 10-15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred

Master Degree preferred

Completion of professional military education or a defense planning certification is preferred
