Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering of HVAC systems for new construction and renovation projects
Perform heating/cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selection
Prepare construction documents, specifications, and technical reports
Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing teams
Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs
Provide construction phase support, site visits, and troubleshooting
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning and scheduling

Qualification

HVAC design experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseNYS codesProficiency with AutoCADProficiency with RevitClient-facing skillsCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
8+ years of HVAC design experience in an MEP consulting environment
Strong knowledge of NYS codes, ASHRAE standards, and energy compliance
Experience with commercial, healthcare, education, or multi-family projects
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit (BIM experience a plus)
Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain)
