ATL Staff Accountant
Advanced Technology Leaders, Inc. is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the Finance Manager in daily, monthly, and year-end accounting and financial operations. The role involves ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with company and regulatory requirements, along with various accounting functions such as accounts payable and receivable processing, invoicing, and account reconciliations.

Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Receivables
Customer Invoicing
Prime and Subcontracts
Partner with Finance Manager to reconcile daily, monthly, and yearly transactions
Partner with Finance Manager to reconcile bank and credit card statements
Update internal systems with financial data
Assist in the preparation of budgets
Partner with Finance Manager in preparing balance sheets
Partner with Contracts Manager in preparing and processing of Customer Monthly Status Reports
Managing Corporate Expense Accounts

Assist with preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments
Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information
Assist in preparing general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts
Prepare payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts
Answer accounting and financial questions presented by executive leadership by researching and interpreting data
Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree with a specified concentration in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 2 years of proven accounting experience
Demonstrated full fluency in written and spoken English is required, including the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, clients, and external partners
Fluent, working knowledge of Microsoft Word – Create, format, edit, and proofread professional documents; apply styles, templates, tables, headers/footers, and track changes
Fluent, working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook – Effectively manage email, calendars, meetings, contacts, and task coordination in a fast-paced environment
Fluent, working knowledge of Microsoft Excel – Create and maintain spreadsheets; use formulas and functions, sort and filter data, format worksheets, and generate basic reports
Fluent, working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat – Create, edit, combine, secure, and manage PDF documents, including form completion, commenting, and document organization
Proficiency in these tools is essential to performing the core functions of the role and will be assessed during the selection process
Preferred
Experience using accounting software
Experience using payroll platforms such as ADP Workforce Now
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Working knowledge of Unanet
Working knowledge of Deltek
Knowledge of government contracting
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Excellent time management skills
Strong business ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
