Staff Accountant

Responsibilities
Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and perform account reconciliations
Assist with month‐end and year‐end close activities and prepare supporting schedules
Process accounts payable, manage vendor relationships, and oversee accounts receivable and collections
Prepare and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts; identify variances and trends
Support financial reporting, documentation, and external/internal audit requests
Maintain accurate, organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies
Partner with operations, purchasing, and sales to resolve accounting issues and support business needs
Recommend and implement efficiency initiatives, automation opportunities, and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
2+ years of hands‐on accounting experience (1 year considered for exceptional recent graduates)
Advanced Excel skills: pivot tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, and data analysis
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a small‐company setting
Excellent verbal and written communication with a collaborative, solutions‐oriented attitude
Preferred
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems (strong plus)
Background in multi‐functional accounting roles or manufacturing/retail/wholesale environments
Familiarity with fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and basic tax or payroll processes
