Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluations within 24 hours of admission
Conduct weekly psychiatric follow-ups for all assigned clients
Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support after-hours needs for RTC clients
Engage in regular communication with parents and external providers to ensure coordinated care; complete peer reviews for medical necessity with insurance
Complete all required documentation, including evaluations, follow-ups, and collateral notes, within 24 hours
Provide coverage for other psychiatrists during PTO or absences, in collaboration with the Practice Director
Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including therapists, nurses, and program directors, to align on treatment goals and client needs
Qualification
Required
Licensed Psychiatrist in the state of California and Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Experience in acute care settings and experience supporting non-medical detox protocols
Strong working knowledge of evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, etc
