Responsibilities
Producing and reviewing regulatory reports on our branches, including statistical returns and other local regulatory requirements prior to submission
Supporting branch launches, defining and implementing the submission process for necessary regulatory reports
Assessing, developing, and maintaining proper controls, robust documentation, and change management approaches for reporting areas (automated and manual)
Communicating issues with appropriate data owners
Monitoring issues to ensure timely and appropriate resolutions are achieved
Staying current on new and evolving regulatory reporting requirements, assessing impact, and ensuring compliance for accurate reporting
Working closely to ensure accurate reporting and decision support is consistent in all future regulatory applications
Reviewing and responding to regulatory inquiries
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, financial reporting, or prudential supervision within a bank, trust company, or fintech
Familiarity with prudential or supervisory reporting frameworks, with experience in environments with multi-regulator oversight
Proficiency in sourcing data from NetSuite, Hyperion, and/or Essbase
A CRCM, CPA, or CFA certification
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
The ability to make sense of regulations and develop processes and frameworks to compile new reports and enhance existing ones
To be a self-motivated and independent worker
Great organization skills to plan and deliver to tight deadlines with close attention to detail
Experience working with financial regulators
Preferred
Project management skills
Proficiency in SQL
Expertise working with IFRS accounting standards
Knowledge of software or IT platform change initiatives (Reportware, Adenza, etc.)
