Facility Condition Assessor (Maintenance Coordinator 1)
Los Alamos National Laboratory is a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in strategic science on behalf of national security. They are seeking a BUILDER Facility Condition Assessor to collect facility data, compile reports, and work with various stakeholders to manage facility and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
Collecting facility data for entry in the BUILDER SMS System utilizing various methods including facility condition assessments, facility management interviews, maintenance documentation, project information, or other institutional documents
Compiling and delivering concise and accurate reports to management and stakeholders
Working with database administrators and stakeholders to ensure data systems meet reporting requirements
Researching, assembling, and/or evaluating data regarding Laboratory programs, industry practices, or applicable regulatory changes affecting facility and infrastructure
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of conducting inventory of facility equipment
Ability to understand mechanical, and/or electrical facility maintenance
Ability to understand and interpret various mechanical and electrical documents, blueprints, drawings, and schematics
Ability to understand work hazards, safety practices and lock-out/tag-out policies and procedures for LANL facilities
Experience participating in the planning and development of short-term and long-range planning of facility condition assessments to meet program requirements
Ability to understand the Laboratory's facility maintenance policies, practices, and procedures
Ability to inspect large complexes, including mechanical/electrical systems, sub-components, and supporting systems
Experience working with databases to collect, manage, interpret, and report data
Competency with desktop software such as Microsoft Office
Ability to utilize and manipulate a computerized work management system, personal computer software, and site licensed programs in creating and maintaining maintenance reports
Knowledge in initiating, compiling, and delivering concise and accurate oral and written presentations on project status, changes, and alternative approaches
Position requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of technical and maintenance related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation
Walking, climbing ladder, and carrying/lifting 5 to 10 pounds
Preferred
Demonstrated on-the-job experience or formal education in building construction and systems: electrical, mechanical/HVAC, Fire Protection, Architectural/Structural, etc
Working knowledge of related work hazards and safety programs
Skill in the preparation and presentation of infrastructure condition and analysis reports
Knowledge of the Laboratory's infrastructure and site planning policies, practices, and procedures
Experience working with the BUILDER Sustainment Management System and Condition Assessment Information System (CAIS) for conducting assessments or similar facility condition tracking/projection systems
Engineering or Engineering Technology degree preferred
