Responsibilities
Assemble complex aerospace components
Inspect and verify quality of work when complete
Using micrometers and calipers to verify work performed is conforming to BP tolerance
Files and buff part to fit
Drill, tap, ream, countersink parts using a Bridgeport
Positions and aligns parts
Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together
Disassemble and replace parts as required
Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies
Lift pieces and positions and secures it on a machine table or in holding fixtures
Assist other assemblers and employees as required to meet production and safety requirements
Performs daily 6S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) activities in work area
Perform other related duties or responsibilities as required
Qualification
Required
Must be a 'U.S. Person' as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
High School Degree or G.E.D
1+ years of experience in assembly preferably in a Aerospace Manufacturing environment
Must be able to lift 35lbs
Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to go up and down stairs frequently
Preferred
Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions
Must have strong attention to detail
Ability to travel domestically – 10% max
