They are seeking a highly capable Estimator / Project Manager with hands-on experience in concrete restoration to manage projects from contract award through close-out and ensure work is executed in accordance with engineering specifications and safety standards.
Accounting
Responsibilities
Review structural engineering reports, drawings, and repair recommendations
Perform site visits to assess existing conditions, including:
Concrete spalling and delamination
Reinforcing steel corrosion
Structural and life-safety deficiencies
Develop accurate, detailed cost estimates for:
Horizontal, vertical, and overhead concrete repairs
Rebar exposure, treatment, and replacement
Structural strengthening and partial replacements
Waterproofing systems and protective coatings
Access systems (scaffolding, swing stages, lifts)
Prepare bid packages, scope narratives, and pricing breakdowns
Coordinate with:
Structural engineers
Consultants
Vendors and subcontractors
Identify constructability issues and propose value-engineering solutions when appropriate
Manage concrete restoration projects from contract award through close-out
Coordinate and supervise:
Superintendents
Field crews
Subcontractors
Ensure work is executed in accordance with:
Engineering specifications
Approved drawings
Florida Building Code and safety standards
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
Manage change orders, RFIs, and scope adjustments
Serve as a technical point of contact for:
Structural engineers
Property managers
Condominium boards
Attend site meetings, progress meetings, and inspections
Oversee quality control to ensure long-term durability of repairs
Enforce OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of direct experience in concrete restoration
Background must be from one of the following: Engineering firm specializing in structural concrete restoration, Contractor specializing in concrete restoration and structural repairs
Strong understanding of structural concrete systems
Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms and repair strategies
Strong understanding of concrete repair methods, materials, and sequencing
Ability to read and interpret structural engineering reports
Ability to read and interpret repair drawings
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications
Familiarity with South Florida construction environment
Familiarity with coastal exposure conditions
Familiarity with condominium and multifamily operations
Familiarity with Florida Building Code and local permitting processes
Strong estimating and cost-control capabilities
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple active projects
Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
Comfortable working in both office and active job site environments
Preferred
Engineering or structural engineering background strongly preferred
