Responsibilities
Conduct legal research and analysis on U.S. and EU regulatory frameworks, including IP, marketing, advertising, data privacy/protection, federal agency regulations, AI legislation, and e-commerce law
Assist in drafting, reviewing, and analyzing contracts and related legal documents (e.g., NDAs, collaboration agreements, vendor contracts)
Support compliance reviews of marketing and branding initiatives to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, supporting the protection and enforcement of company IP assets
Support dispute resolution and litigation-related tasks, such as preparing research on potential claims or defenses, assisting with litigation documents, and helping to organize legal materials when disputes arise
Monitor legal developments and emerging risks affecting cross-border operations and digital commerce
Prepare legal memoranda, compliance checklists, risk summaries, briefs, and other documentation to inform internal stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, policy, operations) to integrate legal compliance into business processes
Review and interpret legal and compliance materials in both English and Chinese to support global operations
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a Juris Doctor candidate at an ABA-accredited law school
Legally authorized to intern in the United States without employer sponsorship
Availability to commit to the internship duration
Proficiency in legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office suite
Preferred
Coursework, experience, or demonstrated interest in legal research and analysis, advertising law, contracts, intellectual property, dispute resolution, or regulatory compliance is a plus
Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese is preferred (written and verbal)
Strong legal research and analytical skills — ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and legal texts
Experience or exposure to contract review, intellectual property research, and litigation support
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Interest in fashion, pop culture, and global e-commerce is preferred
Ability to distill complex legal issues into clear, pragmatic guidance
