Outside Sales Account Manager

Uptime Power Systems, Inc. is a leading provider of power protection and backup power solutions. They are seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager responsible for developing new business, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within commercial, industrial, data center, telecom, healthcare, and government sectors
Conduct prospecting activities including cold calling, networking, site visits, and industry event participation
Present and promote Uptime Power Systems’ solutions such as UPS systems, batteries, generators, power distribution units, and maintenance services
Evaluate customer environments and requirements to recommend appropriate products and service plans
Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and presentations
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through deal closing
Collaborate with internal engineering, service, and support teams to ensure successful system deployment and customer satisfaction
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and activity reports
Develop long-term relationships with key accounts and strategic partners
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies

Required

2+ years of outside sales experience (preferably in power systems, electrical, industrial equipment, or related technical fields)
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn power quality and backup power technologies
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory

Preferred

Experience using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus
