This dynamic position involves rotating responsibilities across front desk operations, patient pre-testing and workups, and optical sales, requiring strong communication skills and a commitment to exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage an appointment calendar
Verify insurance benefits and collect payments
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation
Escort patients to exam rooms and perform pre-testing procedures (e.g., auto-refraction, tonometry, visual acuity testing)
Document medical history, chief complaint, and medication usage accurately
Ensure equipment is calibrated and cleaned regularly
Support the doctor during exams as needed
Assist with contact lens fittings and orders
Assist patients in selecting frames that fit their lifestyle, prescription, and aesthetic preferences
Explain lens options and coatings (e.g., progressive lenses, blue light filtering, anti-reflective coating)
Take accurate measurements and process eyewear orders
Perform basic eyewear repairs and adjustments
Follow up with patients on order status and ensure satisfaction upon pickup
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong customer service and communication skills
Comfortable with multi-tasking and switching roles throughout the day
Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Previous experience in an optometric, medical, or retail sales setting preferred
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and optical software is a plus
