Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support integrations between internal payments platforms and third-party systems including: Bottomline, Commercial Center, SWIFT, Signature, Actimize, OFAC screening platforms (LexisNexis)
Develop and maintain interfaces (APIs, file-based and messaging interfaces) to support integration with core banking systems and external partners
Lead or contribute to RTP implementations and enhancements, including onboarding, transaction processing, and exception handling
Participate in or lead Wire replacement or modernization initiatives
Design solutions to migrate from legacy wire systems to modern, API-based or ISO 20022–compliant platforms
Integrate and process payment messages across multiple formats including ISO 20022, SWIFT MT, and proprietary formats
Analyze, troubleshoot, and fix defects identified in development, testing, or production environments
Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and operations teams to support end-to-end payment flows
Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and production support activities
Support performance tuning, monitoring, and issue resolution for high-volume payment processing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Java application development
Experience with Spring / Spring Boot
Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and integration patterns
Solid understanding of payments processing workflows (Wires, RTP)
Hands-on experience with atleast one RTP & Wire product platforms such as: Finastra, Alacriti, Finzly, FIS or similar providers
Proficiency in one or more SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus
