Responsibilities
Lead the electrical design of large-scale data centers, focusing on medium and low-voltage distribution, standby/emergency power systems, and UPS configurations
Designs and leads projects with impact on infrastructure design, innovation and implementation
Work on multiple projects in multiple geographical regions
Sets a standard in the data center electrical designs
Emphasizes on excellence and develops strategic solutions, which exceed Adag’s quality requirements all while respecting and committing to the budget
Prepare, review, and stamp electrical drawings to ensure full compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local building codes
Collaborate closely with mechanical, structural, and civil engineering teams to deliver fully integrated and coordinated design solutions
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and quality assurance support to junior engineers and design teams
Manage complex problems and bring impactful and practical solutions
Manage project delivery from initial concept through construction and commissioning phases
Communicate and coordinate with clients, utilities, and permitting authorities to ensure smooth project execution and compliance
Travel to U.S based project sites and to Canadian head office as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
A professional Engineer (PE) license
10+ years of experience, preferably with mission-critical or data center projects exceeding 10MW
Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and power system analysis tools
Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or ETAP or SKM Power Tools
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Experience with large-scale generators and switchgear integration
Familiarity with sustainable or energy-efficient electrical system design
Proficiency in data center electrical and structural systems, with knowledge of industry standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Prior experience with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) applications is advantageous
