Responsibilities
System Development: Design and implement quality control procedures and guidelines specifically for heavy civil and industrial services
Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards
Issue Resolution: Identify non-conformities or workmanship deficiencies; collaborate with project teams to establish root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
Technical Review: Analyze project plans and specifications to ensure all quality requirements are integrated into the construction lifecycle
Training & Mentorship: Lead training sessions to improve the quality standard literacy of on-site personnel and subcontractors
Reporting: Generate and maintain detailed documentation and metrics to track quality performance throughout the project duration
Collaboration: Participate in project meetings, providing expert input to enhance overall project delivery and safety
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years in the construction industry with a dedicated focus on Quality Control
Must have managed at least two federal design-build projects and at least two projects valued at $10M+
Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance for access to secured facilities and military bases
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
Deep knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality software/tools
Exceptional attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Preferred
Strong background in heavy civil construction is highly preferred
Preferred certifications include CQM (Construction Quality Management for Contractors), Certified Quality Manager, or Certified Quality Engineer
