Regional Marketing Manager
Acadian Seaplants is seeking a Regional Marketing Manager for North America, responsible for developing and executing regional marketing plans to build awareness and demand. The role involves managing product life-cycles, conducting market analysis, and leading marketing communication strategies to support sales objectives.
Responsibilities
Planning, developing, reporting on, and supporting the design and execution of regional and local marketing plans that are focused on building awareness, demand generation
Providing technical support for the current and future APH product line development and maintaining the integrity of APH global product technical positioning in the market
Building strong customer experience through engaged marketing campaigns
Design and execute a cross-functional and integrated Communication, Branding & PR strategy
Scoping, sizing and prioritization of market opportunities and threats; acting as the bridge between head office and the region to support key global APH corporate strategies, policies and practices
Providing input and participate in the technical marketing, business development and technical development of products and services to support the implementation of sales strategies and objectives in the assigned areas
Go-To-Market strategy
Manage life-cycle of existing products in the territory
Focus on innovations aligned with a portfolio strategy (new products/formulations launch, label extensions to new crops and uses, complementary 3rd party products, new technologies, equipment etc.)
Gather market research & intelligence; conduct analysis and benchmarking of targeted markets and products
Lead analysis to understand key market opportunities and threats, segment influencers, customer demographics, competitive assessments and to define the go to market strategy
Communicate technical marketing information to key internal and external customers
Own business-to-business leadership in interactions with Marketing, Sales, R&D, Regulatory and other stakeholders
Build and execute marketing programs/crop campaigns/action plan in order to obtain expected results on assigned product line and crops
Propose or define trade marketing, training and loyalty programs for capturing value through distribution and sub-distribution chain
Manage operative mix of products and improve administration of value pricing, considering the market and competitors
Provide support to the key product launches and campaigns, ensuring best coverage with highest standard of communication in order to achieve the highest impact
Manage the marketing budget, develop local, tactical marketing initiatives aligned with Global APH Strategies including assessing and optimizing regional media, sponsorship, packaging, and research and trade show opportunities
Ensure timely exchange of all fundamental, applied and field-practical research into the promotion of Acadian products, people, science and innovation in the assigned area
Ensure competitive readiness by identifying market opportunities and risks in the NAM market through ongoing research and provide suggested courses of action including industry & market trends, competitive products and materials and regulatory barriers and changes
Keep up-to-date on new developments and trends to understand customer and market needs for assigned products with the market
Work with Global Marketing VP and RMM peers in other regions, Global Branding and Communication, Global Market Intelligence, and the Sales team to develop strong retention programs that focus on repeated business
Work with Global Product Manager to introduce new product lines into a market
Support the company’s vision and policies regarding Health & Safety, Corporate Culture, and Environmental Management by displaying the appropriate behaviour and leadership towards meeting the company’s objectives in these areas
Lead and manage customer engagement and communication programs, such as in-person/virtual events, workshops, and customer awards programs
Lead Marketing Communication/PR, Crop Solutions/Innovation, Digital Marketing and Food Chain
Disseminate information about APH NA and its products to members of the press or other media representatives. Ensure alignment with global communications manager
Manage all media enquiries, including issuing of press releases, facilitation of media interviews and press conferences
Support organization of local events like product launches, stewardship trainings etc. and gain public attention through the media

Qualification
Required
A University Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred) in Business Administration or in a related field with a specialization in sales or Marketing
Minimum 10 years of successful related business experience including Agriculture, Marketing and Sales industry experience
Must be well-accustomed with the designated territory, marketplace and culture
Proficiency in English is a must in order to effectively communicate internally as well as with local in-market employees, customers, suppliers etc
Ability to work with business equipment and computer applications (i.e. Windows, general office equipment, electronic mail, word processing software, spreadsheet software, database software etc.)
Strong cross-functional management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively utilize internal resources to meet project deadlines and objectives
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to listen and assess customer needs, prioritize needs/requirements, and communicate them cross-functionally
Excellent leadership, presentation, and negotiation skills to work effectively in driving a franchise and participating as a member of cross functional teams
Strong relationship building skills to constructively foster relationships internally and externally
High level of motivation with the ability to operate as an individual and team contributor
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project)
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including cross-border, in order to visit employees, customers, suppliers etc. Willingness to potentially travel overnight, weekends and holidays. Please note that travel expenses are paid by the employer
Own vehicle and valid driver's license

Demonstrated success in marketing positions within the agriculture business would be considered as an asset
