Responsibilities
Someone familiar with Grafana who is proficient in Writing Database Queries in multiple SQL/database languages
Client has Microsoft SQL, Oracle SQL, Posgres SQL, Mongo Databases, Timeseries Databases (Timescale DB, Elkstack DB)
The ETL Process (Extracting, Transforming, and Loading data)
Data Warehousing, Data Masking, Data Lake
Linux (this is the platform Client uses)
Visualization
They don't want a DBA (who typically only knows 1 SQL/Database language, they want someone that knows multiple languages and is willing to learn if they don't know a particular language)
Candidate would need to write custom utilities
The scenario is they are reading from an infinite # of data sources (reading from a REST interface or reading from Kafka) and processing that data into a different format then writing that to their time-series database
They have existing libraries for all of this, but there is a lot of custom work that is happening between the data source processing and the writing to the database
Utilizing patterns/pagination to sort data
Need to utilizing timestamps from the data and use this as opposed to when the data arrived from source
Multi-processing framework (this would be a differentiator if a candidate has used this before)
Customer is writing to Influx DB today, but the database they are writing to may change
Qualification
Required
Familiar with Grafana
Proficient in Writing Database Queries in multiple SQL/database languages
Experience with Microsoft SQL, Oracle SQL, Posgres SQL, Mongo Databases, Timeseries Databases (Timescale DB, Elkstack DB)
Knowledge of the ETL Process (Extracting, Transforming, and Loading data)
Experience in Data Warehousing, Data Masking, Data Lake
Linux platform experience
Experience with Python ETL
Deep knowledge of how Python works
Ability to write custom utilities for data processing
Experience with utilizing patterns/pagination to sort data
Ability to utilize timestamps from the data
Experience with multi-processing framework
Experience with writing to Influx DB
