Responsibilities
Manage, prioritize, coordinate, and supervise group functions
Manage QC Lab Supervisor performance and productivity including:
Planning and setting goals
Providing assignments and feedback
Coaching, training, and monitoring progress
Ensure work is on track to achieve objectives
Establish appropriate structure and workflow for efficient and timely completion of tasks
Ensure execution of Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) provided company leadership
Ensure timely release of materials (ingredients, packaging, intermediates, and finished products) in a timely manner to meet internal and external customer needs
Develop and implement sampling and testing plans for materials and product quality in alignment with the Director of Quality
Ensure SOPs are implemented and aligned with GLP, GMP, and GDP standards
Ensure a continuous alignment with Sacco System/CSL USA Quality Control projects and procedures
Responsible for preparing and auditing
Analyze production steps for control point effectiveness
Participate in lab improvement initiatives (methods, equipment, certifications)
Participate with internal teams (planning, customer service, sales) and external partners (vendors, customers, sister sites) to resolve issues and complains
Ensure execution of projects received from company leadership
Generate QC Metrics and ensure that they are integrated in the Corporate Sacco System Metrics
Qualification
Required
Master or Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology or related experience, preferred 3+ years' experience in a probiotic focused field is required
3+ years of technical leadership experience
3+ years of quality control experience with increasing levels of responsibility
3+ years managing all aspects of quality control team
Experience with Laboratory, Quality, and Food Safety certifications (ISO 17025, ISO 9001, FSSC ISO 22000)
Proven proficiency with Microsoft Suite of products
Preferred
Familiar with a variety of analytical and laboratory practices and procedures specific to microbiological cultures
