Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain deterministic, explainable rules and eligibility logic (e.g., decision tables/Drools) for the NBA Decision Engine
Translate business and regulatory requirements into versioned, testable decision artifacts with clear traceability and auditability
Integrate rules logic with backend decision services (Node.js/Python), ensuring low‑latency, high‑throughput performance and horizontal scalability
Combine deterministic rules with ML‑driven signals to produce final NBA outcomes, defining precedence, fallbacks, and guardrails
Build comprehensive CI/CD test suites (unit, regression, scenario) and observability (metrics, logs, decision traces) to ensure reliability and explainability in production
Partner with product, data science, compliance, and engineering teams to refine decision policies, manage change control, and uphold standards in regulated environments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field
5–8+ years of experience in building rules-based or decision‑logic systems using decision engines, decision tables, or similar frameworks
Demonstrated expertise in translating business and regulatory requirements into deterministic, versioned, and testable decision logic with strong auditability
Proven experience integrating rules engines with backend services (Node.js/Python) and delivering low‑latency, scalable decision components in regulated environments
