Start in 2026 SummerEaton is a leading company in the engineering sector, and they are seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Intern for a twelve-week paid internship. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers, performing engineering analyses, creating designs, and developing unit tests to contribute to New Product Development projects.

Responsibilities
Work with hardware drivers and embedded applications, networking and related areas primarily using C, C++, and Python, as well as other programming languages
Collaborate with a global multi-discipline engineering teams (software, embedded software, hardware, power systems, systems, product and test) to deliver products and features for the Utility Intelligent Devices team
Set aggressive goals, measures performance, and strive to go beyond what is expected
Effectively work and communicate within a global team environment
Qualification
Required
Actively enrolled in or received a bachelor's or master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science at an accredited institution with a graduation date no earlier than December 2026
Minimum GPA of 2.8 or above

Preferred
Prior internship or co-op experience
Junior or higher standing
Minimum GPA of 3.2 or above
Experience developing using C / C++, Python or other programming languages
Familiarity with Agile Scrum concepts (or other iterative development methodology)
