Responsibilities

Responsible for the design, development, testing and assessment of projects of assigned products
Responsible for the direct activities of assigned projects to ensure achievement of design, performance, cost, schedule, and documentation requirements on time
Investigate possible cost reduction and implement cost saving initiatives
Provide engineering assistance to solve production problems
Responsible for technical and analytical support to the Plant according to its needs
Develop workstation instructions/procedures and test systems
Carry out special tasks or duties as requested by the Engineering Manager
Create strategic plans for product development and launches as needed
Design and define instructions, procedures, or engineering principles
Responsible for engineering changes, selection of materials to be used for designed products, assessment, and recommendation of the disposal of parts and derived materials
Assesses and recommends equipment for workstations in the Plant
Maintains contact with suppliers and customers
Keeps the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the proper execution of all assigned responsibilities
Ensures adequate and continuous controls on all assigned activities that affect safety and health in the workplace
Ensures adequate and continuous controls over all assigned activities that affect environmental aspects within the company
There may be times when a temporary work assignment is necessary to maintain the production requirements of the department. Work assignment will be made at the discretion of area manager
