Responsibilities
Work with a small caseload of students, collaborating closely with classroom teachers, administrators, parents, and outside professionals to create an optimal learning environment
Help students build self-awareness, develop academic skills and strategies, strengthen executive functioning, and gain confidence and motivation to succeed
Qualification
Required
Degree in Special Education, Literacy, Education, or a related field
Two or more years of experience working with middle and/or high school students as a learning specialist, classroom teacher, or resource teacher
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
State certification (preferred)
Familiarity with Judith Hochman's Writing Revolution is an advantage
