Human Resources Generalist
Kya Services, LLC is a leading specialty construction company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join their team. Responsibilities
Working with our Administrative team to manage the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and new hires are properly integrated into the company
Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns, fostering positive employee relations across the organization
Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and conduct investigations as needed
Promote a positive, inclusive, and safety-conscious workplace culture
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations and construction-specific safety requirements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, certifications, and licenses
Assist with audits and reporting for regulatory compliance
Support the performance appraisal process, including tracking reviews, feedback, and employee development
Provide guidance to managers on handling performance issues and implementing corrective actions
Track required safety training, certifications, and continuing education for construction staff
Support career development initiatives and training programs for both field and office personnel
Assist in identifying skills gaps and recommend appropriate development programs
Administer employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans) and assist employees with benefits-related questions
Assist in market analysis to ensure competitive compensation packages for construction roles
Support the company's safety program and compliance with OSHA and industry-specific safety regulations
Assist in conducting safety training sessions and maintain records of safety certifications for employees
Assist with general HR administrative duties, including updating employee records, handling paperwork, and ensuring the HRIS system is up to date
Work closely with the HR team to implement HR policies and programs that align with company goals
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented and proactive approach to HR functions
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
Experience with onboarding processes for new employees
Ability to serve as a point of contact for employee questions and concerns
Experience in resolving workplace conflicts and conducting investigations
Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, including OSHA regulations and construction-specific safety requirements
Ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
Experience with performance appraisal processes and employee development
