Head of Sales (GovTech)
The Greene Group is one of the fastest growing gov-tech companies seeking a Head of Sales to lead all revenue efforts and collaborate directly with founders. The role involves supporting the full sales cycle for government clients, developing sales strategies, and building relationships with key government stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Support the full sales cycle for government clients, including prospecting, qualification, demos, proposals and closing
Develop a sales strategy focused on public sector accounts across counties, cities and states
Build relationships with government decision makers, procurement teams and agency stakeholders
Manage RFP responses and oversee proposal development and pricing
Partner with founders to define go to market priorities and revenue targets
Work with product teams to align capabilities with government needs
Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting and performance metrics
Negotiate contract terms, compliance requirements and procurement steps
Represent the company at government meetings, industry events and conferences
Hire, lead and develop future sales team members as the organization scales
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field
5+ years of sales with exposure to government contracts or public sector procurement
Understanding of technology sales into government environments
History of meeting sales targets and managing complex contracting processes
Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to operate in a fast growing environment and work closely with executive leadership
Preferred
Experience with blockchain or web3 solutions
