Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the coordination of Design, Estimating, Purchasing, Engineering, Accounting, Cost Control, and Construction functions to ensure the successful completion of the project under their leadership
Ensure the development and maintenance of the master progress schedule, incorporating key milestones such as owner decisions, availability of design information, material and subcontract procurement, as well as lead times for fabrication and field installation
Establish and sustain strong relationships with the client, the internal project team, and their respective subcontracted services
Ensure projects are executed in accordance with contract documents, while managing resources, timelines, and budgets to meet financial objectives and deliverables
Ensure that the Company’s quality standards are defined and upheld throughout the duration of the project
Effectively organize, manage, and train both field and office staff, ensuring their ongoing development through performance evaluations, diverse assignments, and fostering a positive project morale
Ensure compliance with all insurance, safety, labor relations, and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements
Ensure client payment applications are submitted accurately, payments are received on time, and funds are disbursed appropriately
Keep management updated on project progress, financial status, cash flow, and the current state of Client relations
Perform buyout or assist Preconstruction Manager in buyout process
Comply with and actively support KBDG’s safety policy as outlined in the company’s Safety Manual
Perform additional assignments as directed by the Business Unit Leader or Project Executive
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
10+ years of experience in Construction Project Management, specializing in Design-Build projects and interior construction
Extensive experience in building construction, coupled with non-engineering or architectural training, is also acceptable
Extensive knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating and engineering principles and techniques
Familiarity with a variety of design and construction methods, materials, and techniques
Exhibits strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship
Preferred
Preferred experience in construction projects including medium to large-scale manufacturing facilities, heavy construction, and industrial construction
