Responsibilities
Create designs specific to low voltage & medium voltage electrical switchgear assemblies/systems, replacement breakers, and related equipment
Effectively collaborate with the key stakeholders (mechanical engineers, production, purchasing, vendors, etc.) to develop complete drawings, submittals, and BOM packages that meet customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and project requirements
Work with QA and Testing Teams to develop and review testing plans
Follow and develop standard design processes and documentations to improve quality and efficiency in engineering design
Make changes and corrections in electrical design throughout the life of the product
Effectively support other departments such as project management, production, and sales
Detailed-oriented and organized with documentation
Has the passion to work closely and hands-on with the production team to resolve issues quickly
Qualification
Required
4-year bachelor's degree required
Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical
Satisfactory completion of additional background and drug screening
Ability to work on assignments independently with minimal guidance and to navigate difficult situations and tasks by working with key stakeholders and peers
Communication and presentation skills to work with teams of various levels of technical understanding
Preferred
EIT (Engineer in Training) Certificate (preferred)
1-3 years of design experience in switchgear, control circuit, UL891, and UL1558, and electrical design, etc. (preferred)
Experience in generator and automation controls, specifically PLC/HMI knowledge of Rockwell/Siemens and Woodward. (preferred)
Experience with REVIT and Inventor. (preferred)
