5+ years expIGEL Technology is seeking a Senior Director of Community & Technical Publication responsible for building and nurturing a global community around IGEL OS and endpoint optimization. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for the IGEL Community across platforms (forums, Slack, social media, events)
Foster an inclusive, positive, and helpful environment for members
Facilitate discussions, Q&A, and problem-solving among customers and partners
Encourage participation, collaboration, and peer-to-peer support
Create and curate high-value community content (posts, tutorials, videos, blogs, newsletters)
Organize webinars, community meetups, virtual events, and AMAs
Support the creation of technical guides, FAQ documents, and knowledge base articles
Build relationships with IGEL advocates, influencers, EUC experts, and technology partners
Identify and support champions who can help represent IGEL in the broader EUC ecosystem
Collect and communicate user feedback to internal teams (Product, Support, Marketing)
Drive community growth metrics, engagement levels, and program adoption
Maintain community guidelines, onboarding materials, and governance
Manage recognition programs, rewards, and member spotlights (e.g., IGEL Technical Professional (ITP) program)
Track analytics and provide regular reports on community health
Support IGEL events such as Now & Next, partner conferences, and webinars
Represent the community at industry events, roundtables, and online forums
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Support
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in community management, evangelism, developer advocacy, or similar roles within technology or IT-focused organizations
Strong working knowledge of enterprise IT platforms, endpoint management, cloud services, and modern IT infrastructure, with an understanding of security implications and best practices
Familiarity with core IT security concepts such as Zero Trust, identity and access management (IAM), secure access, device security, and risk reduction
Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal—with the ability to explain technical and security topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience creating technical or security-adjacent content, running webinars, moderating forums, or hosting online communities
Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives, projects, and communication channels in fast-paced environments
Self-motivated, empathetic, and passionate about enabling IT and security professionals to succeed
Preferred
Exposure to endpoint security, secure access technologies, cloud security, or compliance-driven IT environments
Background in technical support, system administration, security operations, DevOps, or technical marketing
Familiarity with community and collaboration tools such as Slack, Discord, Reddit, community analytics platforms, and CMS tools
Event hosting, public speaking, or panel moderation experience, particularly in technical or security-oriented contexts
Knowledge of community-building frameworks and best practices, especially for highly technical or security-conscious audiences
