They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join their Specialty Ingredients G.P. business at their Hopewell, Virginia location, where the intern will be involved in improving manufacturing processes and analyzing mechanical equipment.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Making continuous improvement of Hopewell manufacturing processes. The improvements may be focused on cost, capacity, through-put, product quality, safety, or environment
Typical projects may include: Determine root cause of chronic operating problems
Recommends and assists in implementing solutions with senior staff
Analyzes mechanical equipment and processes for day to day operations
Investigates opportunities to improve plant's mechanical program
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university
Rising Junior or Senior
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
Preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work effectively as a team, and on independent projects
