Assistant Program Director

Responsibilities
Confers with and assists the co-Assistant Director in the everyday management of the residences
Has direct oversight and supervision of Community Residence Staff
Discusses the implementation of policies and procedures noting deficiencies, needed changes and amendments
Monitors and makes program evaluations and reports results to Administrator
Oversee and prepare program reports
Supervise the administrative operations of the residence addressing and implementing incident reporting requirements established by regulatory agencies and Acacia Network
Assists with evaluation, counseling, discipline and generally ensures that community residence staff are performing satisfactorily
Ensure daily residence documentation is maintained accurately and consistent with OMH standards
Participates in quality assurance review and investigation process
Leads staff developmental meetings
Attends Acacia departmental and development meetings
Partner with Acacia network and its divisions
Direct care coordination through monitoring of resident progress
Participates and support the operations of admissions, discharges and census management within the residences
Determines and contacts agencies which might be utilized for referrals
Follows established policies and procedures
Make decisions within well-defined parameters for the completion of own tasks only
All other duties as assigned by the Administrator
Qualification
Required
Master's degree in the human service field
Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or eligible for credentials within 6 months of hire or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) preferred
Bachelor's degree in the human service field required
At least 3 years' experience in social services and some supervisory experience
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Highly organized, motivated self-starter
Excellent time management skills
Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines
General knowledge of organization, community and/or social service resources and programs
Ability to respond to after-hour calls for program management and building emergencies
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and some weekends as needed
