Submarine Systems Engineer

They are seeking an engineer with a background in submarine systems to support submarine auxiliary/machinery systems, including testing, troubleshooting, and providing engineering support for various systems.

Responsibilities
Support testing and troubleshooting efforts (lab-based and shipboard) for auxiliary machinery control systems (propulsion controls, indicator drive units, hotwell controls)
Develop, review, update, and execute test plans/procedures
Evaluate technical information received from the Fleet (Fleet messages, advisories, etc.)
Develop, review, update technical documentation
Provide engineering support for design, repair, installation, modification, maintenance, and operation of systems
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Engineering & minimum 1 year of related experience, Associates & 4 years of related experience, or High School Diploma & 7 years of related experience; or equivalent experience serving on a Nuclear Submarine
Prior Navy Nuclear training required
25% travel required
Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance
Preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to read and understand technical documentation
Ability to troubleshoot challenging technical issues
Submarine communications experience
