Reliability Engineer
Sterling Engineering is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to ensure plant assets run efficiently, reliably, and safely. This role involves leading predictive maintenance initiatives, reducing downtime, and collaborating with various teams to deliver lasting solutions in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and establish a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) team to reduce downtime and boost efficiency
Audit and improve preventive maintenance programs while developing and tracking performance metrics
Champion the transition from reactive to predictive maintenance, using data-driven strategies
Provide engineering support for process improvements, spare parts, and equipment optimization
Partner with equipment manufacturers to implement innovative upgrades and process enhancements
Ensure compliance with standards for manuals, safety protocols, and spare parts
Identify and manage capital projects, from equipment replacement to new production line support
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align reliability strategies with business goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
5+ years in an industrial manufacturing environment (Food & Beverage preferred)
2+ years in maintenance, reliability, or industrial engineering
Hands-on experience with CMMS systems
Data-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Self-starter who thrives in both independent and team environments
Preferred
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD preferred)
