Employee Relations Advisor

Responsibilities
Manage a varied caseload of Employee Relations matters, including disciplinary issues, grievances, workplace disputes, performance management, and employee concerns through to resolution
Conduct and support workplace investigations, including gathering statements, maintaining accurate documentation, and partnering with legal counsel where appropriate
Act as a trusted advisor to managers, coaching them on best practices while identifying risk and escalating high-risk or complex matters as needed
Oversee leave of absence administration, disability accommodations, and return-to-work processes, ensuring compliance with ADA, FMLA, and applicable state and federal laws
Build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, establishing credibility as a knowledgeable and pragmatic ER partner
Support and continuously improve HR processes, policies, and practices to ensure consistency, fairness, and alignment with business needs
Identify training and development needs for managers and support the delivery of HR training focused on employee relations and people management skills
Compile and analyze HR data, producing reports and insights to identify trends and support senior management decision-making
Stay current on U.S. employment law, HR best practices, and emerging ER trends to ensure ongoing compliance and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
2+ years of hands-on HR experience with a strong focus on Employee Relations
Solid working knowledge of U.S. employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and Title VII
Experience managing sensitive ER matters in a multi-state or complex business environment
Strong documentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate risk, findings, and recommendations
Confident communicator with the ability to influence, coach, and build trust with managers at all levels
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities
Preferred
SHRM-CP or PHR certification
