Responsibilities
VPM Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the lead consultant for Volume Price Mix (VPM) modeling. Define and implement best practices for calculating and reporting on price, volume, and mix variances
Strategic Consulting: Advise the client on how to optimize Oracle Cloud EPM (Planning) to better handle complex CPG data sets and variance drivers
Variance Analysis Design: Build and refine sophisticated variance analysis reports that allow stakeholders to isolate the impact of pricing shifts vs. volume fluctuations
Technical Bridge: Serve as the functional-to-technical liaison, translating complex CPG business logic into efficient business rules, member formulas, and Essbase calculations
Best Practice Implementation: Audit existing planning processes to ensure they align with high-standard CPG forecasting and reporting methodologies
Qualification
Required
Must have successfully completed at least three (3) Oracle EPM Planning projects where VPM was a core deliverable
Extensive experience navigating the specific nuances of the CPG vertical (e.g., SKU-level planning, channel-based variance)
Advanced proficiency in Oracle Cloud EPM Planning, specifically in building complex logic for variance analysis and data integration
Strong ability to consult with finance leadership and explain the 'why' behind specific VPM methodologies
