Responsibilities
Support, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems in GMP facilities
Provide automation support for process equipment and utility systems (WFI, Clean Steam, HVAC, CIP/SIP)
Configure, modify, and maintain control logic, alarms, and HMI screens
Interface with BMS / EMS for monitoring and alarm management
Support commissioning, qualification, and validation (CSV) activities
Author and review automation-related documentation (URS, FRS, SDS, test protocols)
Support change control, deviations, and CAPA related to automation systems
Ensure data integrity (21 CFR Part 11) compliance
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, IT, and Operations teams
Support system upgrades, migrations, and cybersecurity best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Controls Engineering
5–10 years of automation experience in pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated manufacturing
Hands-on experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
Experience with SCADA systems (Wonderware, WinCC, FactoryTalk, iFIX, etc.)
Strong understanding of GMP, CSV, and 21 CFR Part 11
Preferred
DeltaV, PCS7, or other DCS systems
BMS / EMS integration
Batch systems and recipe management
Instrumentation calibration and field devices
