Information Technology Specialist (Tier 1 & 2)

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join their client’s fast-paced IT team. The role involves providing Tier 1 & Tier 2 technical support and assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 desktop support for laptops, desktops, peripherals, and applications
Install, configure, and support Windows and macOS systems
Support core tools including Microsoft 365 and endpoint security/antivirus solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues - both onsite and remotely
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory / Azure AD
Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding , including hardware provisioning and account setup
Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patching to keep systems secure and reliable
Partner with other IT team members to support broader network and infrastructure initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and standard operating procedures
Assist with other projects and responsibilities as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or bachelor's degree preferred)
2+ years of experience in desktop or technical support
Strong customer service mindset - you enjoy helping people and solving problems
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Clear, professional communication skills
Must be willing to work flexible hours based on business needs

Preferred

Active Directory / Azure Active Directory experience
Cisco or Meraki switching and wireless networking exposure
Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)
Zoom VoIP platform experience
Apple macOS and iOS support
Storage network infrastructure exposure
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, MCDST, or similar
