Required

5+ years of firm experience at one of Cooley, Fenwick & West, Latham & Watkins, DLA Piper, Goodwin Procter, Gunderson Dettmer, Orrick, Pillsbury, Silicon Legal Strategy, Wilson Sonsini, Perkins Coie, Morrison & Forrester, Orrick, or DLA Piper
3+ years in-house corporate legal or operational role
Core experience in NVCA-style private financing transactions
Core experience in private-target M&A transactions
Core experience in joint-venture and cross-border transactions
Core experience in corporate governance for investor-backed companies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience training and managing junior associates
Use AI daily
Fluent with Carta/Pulley; DocuSign
Strong excel modeling
Detail orientation
Efficient and strong work ethic
J.D
Active membership in CA state bar
Strong academic background from nationally ranked law school

Preferred

Familiarity with one or more of employee compensation, transactional tax, employment and labor law
Location proximity to San Diego, CA
