Responsibilities
Maintaining and improving the observability, reliability, and performance of mission-critical systems in a secure government cloud environment
Work alongside experienced Site Observability Engineers
Contribute to real-world projects that directly impact our Cloud Operational readiness
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position requires access to customer data

All internals must have manager's approval to transfer
This is a remote internship
Familiarity with Linux or Unix operating systems
Programming experience with scripting languages and object-oriented languages preferred
Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
Ability to work in a team/cooperative environment
Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills
Strong written and presentation skills
Self-starter with a “learn it all” mentality
Must be obtaining college credited degree or be a recent college graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, or similar)
Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Understanding of SQL for querying logs and databases
Familiarity with configuration management (YAML, JSON)
