Responsibilities

Provide an array of community mental health services in a school setting using diverse treatment interventions and methods, such as individual, family, and group therapies, assessments, crisis interventions, and case management. Meet agency patient care hours standards
Ensure all assigned caseloads and clinical records are in accordance with SCOMH Quality Assurance (QA) standards. Adhere to Corporate Compliance policies and procedures. Act in a culturally competent manner. Shall comply with the South Carolina Office of Mental Health Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements in performing their job duties
Utilize collaborative documentation to facilitate effective and efficient provision of therapeutic services
Attend and participate in clinical treatment team staffing as scheduled. Attend total staffing, total clinical training, and CAF meetings. Participate in assigned intra-agency committees to include DSS, DJJ, OIDD, and schools
Promote Center programs and services through outreach, education, and participation in Center-sponsored and community events

Required

A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences field or a related field and one (1) year of professional post-master's experience
Must have valid Driver's License
Sitting or standing for long periods of time
Lifting requirement of 20 lbs

Preferred

Prior experience developing programs in school mental health services and building relationships with school staff, parents, and youth
Four (4) years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families
Licensure eligible in specific field of study
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus
