The Assistant Compliance Officer will assist the Director, Compliance Officer, in managing the Compliance Management System and will lead the Compliance team in fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Act as a subject matter expert of applicable laws, rules, and regulations affecting financial institutions, including proficient investigative and interpretative skills

Responsible for monitoring and analyzing developing trends and changes in regulatory compliance law, rules, and regulations; and consult with Credit Union personnel on the operational impact and implementation of any trends or changes. This includes the collection of data, analysis of regulatory requirements, and compilation and reporting of the results

Responsible for oversight of the development, scheduling, and execution of the compliance monitoring program, including issue reporting, change management control, and review of supporting documentation

Management and oversight of the Compliance Analysts

Develops, delivers, and monitors compliance-related training for the organization

Assist with accurately compiling and gathering documentation and information for reporting, including internal and external audits and regulatory examinations

Other duties as assigned

Consumer Protection RegulationsCompliance Management SystemCompliance conceptsPrinciplesFinancial Institution experienceCompliance certifications

Required

Bachelors (Required)

3 or more years' experience working with the Consumer Protection Regulations and a comprehensive knowledge of Compliance concepts and principles

6 or more years of experience working in compliance (or related field) at a Financial Institution

Certification required in field of expertise - i.e., CRCM; NCCO; CCUE; CUCE; etc
