Responsibilities
Customer Quality Inspectors are responsible for inspecting and testing products, outbound shipments, consolidated pallets and overseeing operations
Performs product and in-process inspection audits using basic hand tools such as calipers, pin gauges, height indicators, Symphony drawing specifications, Process Control Plans and Product Quality Control plans
Responsible for improving audit plans along with the Quality Engineers and execution documentation detailing preparation, and operation instructions for other inspection personnel
Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of product, outbound shipments and in process inspections activities or audits
Review the implementation and efficiency of Quality Controls such as Poka Yokes and Jidokas
Support capability studies and Perform Gage R&R Studies
Provide tooling and process recommendations to optimize product and in process inspections
Adopt digital quality tools to optimize identified areas for improvement in the quality system. Removing products that don’t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product quality
Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing inspection results with the Continues Improvement teams
Performing inspections at random to assess product quality
Responsibilities also include product inspections, process improvement tasks, supplier quality inspections, and reviewing orders for special customer requirement compliance

Interpret blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications for measurement feasibility
Effectively use computers, software, and automation systems as required in performance of assigned duties
