Responsibilities
Develops and facilitates Sarasota Memorial Health Care System’s Emergency Services’ quality and patient safety program along with the advance evidence and effectiveness based practice standards in Emergency Medicine and Nursing
Supports the health system's licensure, compliance, and accreditation process
Qualification
Required
Require Bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant healthcare field. Bachelor's degree must be obtained within four (4) years of hire/start date
Require current Florida state registered nurse license (RN) or other relevant and recognized clinical professional licensure
Require Certified Professional in Health Care Quality (CPHQ); must obtain within two (2) years of employment
Require a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting
Require recent experience in emergency nursing, critical care nursing, or relevant clinical nursing experience
Preferred
Prefer experience in quality improvement, utilization review, and/or statistical analysis in a hospital environment
Prefer demonstrated analytical, project management and statistical analysis skills
Prefer knowledge of Emergency Nursing Practice Standards, The Joint Commission Standards, and Florida Department of Health Standards
Prefer demonstrated knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows and ability to input data and extract reports from web-based programs related to core measures
