Define scope, assumptions, and technical requirements for supplier quoting
Support supplier Q&A during RFQ cycles and clarify technical requirements
Evaluate supplier feedback for manufacturability, cost drivers, and technical risk
Act as a technical resource supporting sourcing decisions across fabrication, machining, and assemblies
Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure BOMs align with build strategy and routing
Identify design-for-manufacturability and design-for-cost opportunities
Support engineering change management by updating BOMs and RFQ packages as designs evolve
Support cost breakdown analysis tied to BOM structure and sourcing strategy
Help identify cost drivers at the component and assembly level
Support make/buy analysis and supplier selection decisions
