Responsibilities
Lead the modernization and enhancement of an existing intake and review workflow, including redesigning legacy structures into scalable, maintainable, and user-friendly solutions
Build dynamic, rules-driven form logic and risk-based decisioning capabilities using maintainable, table-driven configurations
Develop and optimize integrations with external systems through secure REST APIs, including data modelling and field mapping
Redesign and streamline multi-team review workflows into a simplified, consolidated review experience using modern ServiceNow capabilities
Enhance user experiences across Service Portal and Workspace/Next Experience, ensuring intuitive submission and review flows
Produce clear technical documentation, follow platform governance best practices, and collaborate effectively with internal development teams
Qualification
Required
5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including complex customizations
Strong proficiency with: JavaScript (server & client-side)
Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts
Flow Designer & Workflow Editor
Scoped application development
REST integrations and authentication (OAuth2/JWT)
UI Builder and Workspace/Next Experience
Service Portal development (widgets, AngularJS, portal configuration)
Experience working across multiple app scopes (ITSM, SecOps, custom apps)
Deep understanding of data modelling, table structures, and platform architecture
Ability to create maintainable, admin-friendly logic structures (lookup tables, dynamic rules, modular flow components)
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical skills and ability to reverse-engineer legacy solutions
Good communication skills—capable of explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
Highly organized, reliable, and proactive in identifying challenges early
Preferred
Certified System Administrator (CSA)
Certified Application Developer (CAD)
ITSM or SecOps module certifications
Experience modernizing legacy ServiceNow implementations
Prior experience building rule-based engines or dynamic decisioning workflows
Experience in large enterprises or regulated environments
