Director of Corporate Protection Operations
Verizon is a leading telecommunications company seeking a Director of Corporate Protection Operations to lead safety and security operations for senior leadership and the Board of Directors. This role involves the strategic development and management of a comprehensive protection program addressing physical and digital risks globally.

Responsibilities
Developing and executing a 24/7 global executive protection strategy that integrates physical security, secure logistics, and technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM)
Collaborating with the Global Fusion & Intel Center (GFIC) to mitigate "Executive Identity" risks, reducing the digital footprint of the C-Suite to prevent physical targeting
Overseeing all aspects of protective details, including residential security, office safety, and high-threat international travel
Synthesizing real-time intelligence to conduct continuous risk assessments for principals, identifying emerging threats from domestic extremism to sophisticated deep-fake phishing
Acting as the primary security lead during high-stakes events, board of directors meetings, special events and crisis situations, coordinating with Federal, State, and International law enforcement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training
Ten or more years of experience in protective services (Military Special Operations, Federal Law Enforcement, or Corporate Security), with at least 5 years specifically in a Corporate Executive Protection role at a global scale
Seven or more years in a senior management position, with a demonstrated track record of managing multi-million dollar budgets and global vendor networks
Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a government-issued permit to carry a concealed weapon (CCW) and meet all federal, state, and local requirements for armed professional security
SIS CPP (Certified Protection Professional) is required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Business, National Security, Computer Science or related field. Master's degree or MBA highly preferred
Expert-level proficiency in OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) tools for threat monitoring and experience with Counter-UAS (Drone) mitigation strategies
Additional certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred
